10 ways to build self-confidence

The 21st century where people don't have the time to stop and stare  many of us ignore ourselves and some problems which may become major issues later in our lives. Through this hub i assure you that if you follow everything i've mentioned you'll be a new person!!!


   1. MAKE A LIST!
Make a list of all the things you have ever liked about yourself on a bright colored page and paste it in front of your bed and make sure every morning when you get up you read it at least once!


   2.  THROW AWAY ALL THE SELF HELP BOOKS  YOU OWN!
All those of you who own  a self help book need to stop using it and throw it somewhere you cant find it again. a self help book is the {no offence} worst way of building self confidence. Make yourself  believe that you are competent enough to take care of your things yourself and don't need books to make you realise your importance.


  3. GO OUT AND SOCIALISE!
One of the major reasons behind low self confidence is the lack of socializing. You need to realise that people are just like you and they too are as insecure as you. Get a hold of yourself and get the courage and go out make friends.


  4. CHECK YOUR FRIEND CIRCLE!
Make sure you stay with people who love themselves as they are as staying with them helps you realise the importance of accepting yourself the way you are. In case you don't have such friends make sure you get 1. staying with people low on self confidence isn't the best idea when you too lack it!!


  5. DON'T PAY A HEED TO WHAT OTHERS WILL THINK!
Atleast once a day do something you would never ever do in public like walking into a restraunt and getting up on the table and dancing. something totally crazy that shocks you as well as other people. Don't give a damn to what others may think of you because trust me they are people you don't know and are never going to meet ever again and who don't matter in your life!!


   6. LEARN TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!
Until and unless you dont see the point in standing up for yourself no one else ever will. remember you are your own best friend and you are always there for yourself when things go wrong. So its you who needs to love yourself and stand up for yourself.


   7. DUMP ALL THOSE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT MAKE YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF!
Filter your life and get rid of all those people who constantly remind you of everything wrong you ever did and the things you lack. This is a very important step and vanish them from your life no matter how much you think you cant love without them because if they really were worth you and your time they'd accept you as you are and won't try to change you!!


  8. INCULCATE THE HABIT OF REMINDING YOURSELF THAT YOU LOVE YOURSELF.
No matter how much people around you tell you that you're not worth it you have to learn to love yourself. It will take time but eventually you will become happier with yourself and everything else. Constantly keep chanting words that make you feel good about yourself like "i love me" or "i look preety today" anything that makes you feel better. self love is the best form of love. Compliment youself and don't wait for others to do it


  9.  ADOPT A HOBBY OR A PET!
No matter how busy you are make sure you take 1 hour out of your day to spend on things you love. Adopt it as a hobby, this may include learning to play an instrument, cooking, reading, writing. This helps you realize that you are actually talented in turn making you feel better about yourself. Also keeping pets like a dog that can show affection really help pull your self confidence up and plus its always nice to see your dog running towards you when you come home after a long day!! Spend time with your pet and take care of it. This too is like a hobby for people who love taking care of others.


 10. LASTLY HELP YOURSELF HEAL!
Make sure you let go off your past and forget to worry about the future. Live in the present. Learn to forgive yourself and others and stop regretting things you've done! Accept the fact that even though you make mistakes there's a huge part of you that deserves a better life. Always remember there's no use regretting things you can't change because at 1 pt of time you actually wanted it!!
