ICC Cricket World Cup Quarter final(s)/Knockout Schedule

With the all Group games is over on 20^th March 2011, the long wait of one month is over and now we know which team will face which one in the upcoming knockout stage of ICC World Cup 2011.

Here are the Group Results and in the Order in which each team qualified in World Cup 2011

Quarterfinals:

From Group A

Pakistan finished top from Group A with 10 Points while Sri Lanka placed 2^nd with 9 points. Australia and New Zealand placed 3^rd and 4^th with 9 and 8 points respectively.

From Group B

South Africa finished top with 10 Points, India finished 2^nd with 9 points, England finished 3^rd with 7 points and West Indies finished 4^th with 6 points.

With above outcome at Group stage here is the outcome of Quarterfinal Fixtures

1^st Quarterfinal Match C (Pakistan (A1) v West Indies (B4))

Pakistan will take on fourth placed West Indies in the first quarterfinal at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on 23^rd March 2011 which will be Day/Night encounter.

2^nd Quarterfinal Match E (Australia (A3) v India (B2))

India placed 2^nd in Group stage will take on 3^rd placed Australia in the 2^nd Quarterfinal at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad on 24^th March 2011.

3rd Quarterfinal Match F (New Zealand (A4) v South Africa (B1))

Fourth placed New Zealand will take on topper from Group B South Africa in the third quarterfinal at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on 25th March 2011.

4^th Quarterfinal Match D (Sri Lanka (A2) v England (B3))

Sri Lanka the 2^nd placed team at Group stage in Group A will take on third placed team from Group B England at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on 26^th March 2011.

1^st Semi Final

Winner of 3^rd Quarter Final will take on Winner of 4^th Quarterfinal at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on 29^th March 2011.

2^nd Semi Final

Winner of 1^st Quarter Final will take on Winner of 2^nd Quarterfinal at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh on 30^th March 2011.
